These pictures supplied by friends in Fort Myers Florida depict what happens when you leave your phone docking and charging equipment plugged in overnight unattended.
These mass produced devices should never be trusted to sit alone in your car - which in this case was parked in a garage - or they could fail and cause damage to your communication/ICE device as well as your emergency transportation. As we all know things like this seem to happen when we might need these important tools the most....like before a hurricane or tornado evacuation.
If you are charging at home indoors - make sure the circuit is GFCI Protected and the surface is fireproof or there is a minimum of 3 feet between the charger and flammable materials. That will be challenge enough for most people - but leaving in your car should be avoided at all cost.
